" The main difficulty in teaching at first is the search for the necessary material for classes and for solutions for studying the program "
Hello, Vladimir! Do you have a couple minutes to answer our questions?
– Hello, of course!
1. Do you think employers pay attention to which university received a diploma?
– I will say for sure that the main thing for the employer is that the qualification coincides with the required one, that the necessary credits correspond to the required number, as well as the future employee's own willingness to develop and work. So for the most part, a diploma is of little importance to them. I, being a French teacher on graduation, have been working as an English teacher for 3 full years, now it is the 4th academic year of work.
2. Does your professional experience coincide with the expectations that you had while studying at the university?
–In general, it does, but many things I had to learn by doing, for example, MES. The main difficulty at first is the set of the necessary material for classes, the search for solutions for studying the program, and now, in the conditions of a pandemic, it is necessary to figure out how to check homework without children cheating. At the university we did not learn how to do it.
3. Which of the university 's curriculum helped you most to adapt to your professional activities ?
– In fact, everything and nothing, it is impossible to choose one thing. It was just the ability to analyze, reflect, invent and present material - what I got at the university - that helped me adapt. The teaching methodology, of course, is for the knowledge of the peculiarities of perception in children of different ages; also, we had a very strong language practice.
4. Do you keep in touch with your ex groupmate?
– Yes, not only with them, but also with a couple of professors.
5. What would you like to change in the education system? What wishes would you express to your institute?
- The question is global. I would like to change the attitude towards the teacher. It often turns out that the teacher seems to owe everything, but no one owes him anything. You cannot give a bad mark to a student, but the child does nothing at the same time. From this comes the attitude of parents. At the university, I would add a class teacher, an explanation of the features of this activity. At least a semester to allocate it for sure. Well, to develop a teaching program on the part of distance technologies.
