A 2016 graduate of the IFL MCU of the Department of French Language and Lingua Didactics, Serafima Mikhailovna Timofeeva, told about how her life was arranged after graduating from the university:

"I didn't work in my specialty. After graduating from university, she got a job in the same year (2016) in September. It was not difficult to find her, because employers appreciate new, purposeful and responsible specialists. At the moment I am a leading specialist in the department of social direction, my work is connected with people, so the pedagogical education I have received helps me to be a competent specialist. 

 

As for further studies, I have not completed my master's degree and I am not engaged in scientific activity.  In 2017, she completed advanced training courses on the additional professional program logistics manager (transportation management) at the "Computer Training Center"Specialist" of the Educational and Scientific Center at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The training was organized by the employer, so there were no problems with combining study and work.

 

I chose MCU, because at the time of admission in 2011, my older brother was studying Oriental studies there. The choice was also influenced by the fact that the university is state-owned, holds a competition for budget places, and has a convenient location in the center of Moscow. There were no specific career-related plans while studying at the university. 

 

I am very pleased with the education I received at the Moscow State Pedagogical University and the work of the Department of French and Linguo Didactics and I want to express my gratitude to all the staff of this department.

 

Looking back, I can say with confidence that the study of psychology and pedagogy helped me to adapt to my professional activities, the ability to communicate with different types of people, since at the moment my profession is directly related to interaction with people of different ages and social strata of the population.
