Nilender Olga Andreevna

Year of graduation: 2018

Works as a teacher of French at the private school of foreign languages "Feedback"; Self-employed

Good afternoon, Olga! I would like to ask you, as a graduate of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Moscow City University, a few questions related to your studies at the Institute.

- Good afternoon, I will be glad to share my impressions!

1. Do you work within your specialty?

- Yes, I teach French at the private school of foreign languages "Feedback".

2. How long did it take you to find a job?

- The job search didn't last very long. After graduation in the fall, I have already signed a contract. There were no difficulties, because there were offers on job search sites, but I got a job that my friends helped me find.

3. What were your plans for your career when you graduated, and did they coincide with reality ?

- Everything was 100% justified. Despite the difficulties during my studies, I am glad that I received this education and that I work in my specialty and have the opportunity to transfer my knowledge, not only preparing for the Unified State Exam, but also simply teaching people to speak using my own teaching methods.

4. Why did you decide to enter Moscow City Teachers’ Training language University in particular ?

- Already in high school, I knew that I would go to work as a teacher. The school had cooperation with the MCU. Also, of course, the convenient location of the university played an important role. But the decisive thing was the desire to study French and the recommendation of teachers to enter this university. Many of them graduated from MCU.

5. In your opinion, what qualities should a student (future graduate) have in order to get a job within the specialty ?

- The most important thing is to understand that you really want to work within your specialty. Understand what you want from work. You need to know the subject and be able to explain it without scaring with the amount of information. Be able to adapt to the student, but at the same time be able to lead your own line.

6. What do you think has helped you the most from the university’s curriculum in adapting to professional life?

- Practice and classes during which it was necessary to lead part of the lesson.

7. What would you wish for your university ?

- Be more practice-oriented, include those disciplines that will be most important in work as a teacher.
